What Sailors Say About Us

Well organised
I have done shore based first aid, diesel engine maintenance and sea survival courses with First Class Sailing and they were all very worthwhile and I would definitely recommend them.
I have also sailed the across the channel with them and that was similarly well organised and professionally managed.

Experienced trainers
Did both Personal Sea Survival and the Small Craft Sea Survival course with First Class sailing. Both courses were excellent. Trainers was great and very experienced. Both courses are highly recommended if you want to go sailing! I feel much more capable of handling an emergency situation at sea after having completed those courses. Both courses are of the kind you wish you will never need to make use of, but if the day comes they might safe your life.

Interesting and Informative
Recently undertook Sea Survival and Personal Offshore Survival Courses (1 day each).
We spent a couple of hours in a swimming pool, fully dressed with life jackets, to get an appreciation of how difficult it is to stay together, swim, and clamber into the life raft, especially with a "casualty". Both courses were interesting and informative. Both instructors were experienced and peppered the courses with anecdotes and real life stories, which were all great.

Fastnet Training
Great adventure on Phantom. Ashley (skipper) and Will and Bill (watch leaders) were all brilliant; always helpful, trained the crew patiently and ensured we had a good time. The package included sea survival training, a training weekend, three qualifying races and the race itself. I had a great time and thanks to First Class Sailing for setting it all up.
