Our mile building trips are perfect for novices and experienced sailors alike. Departing from the Solent and other locations, you'll sail under the guidance of a seasoned RYA instructor, boosting your confidence and preparing you for upcoming adventures. These trips are a fantastic way to gain experience, improve your navigation skills, and enjoy relaxed cruising with friends and family, or set yourself up for an upcoming Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore exam.

If you have recently completed Competent Crew, then one of mile building sailing trips will be perfect before you progress onto Day Skipper. It will cement what you have already learned, give you some good miles and experience, and not to mention, will be a lot of fun!
If you’ve recently completed Day Skipper, these trips are a great way to build miles before you take on Coastal Skipper. Building those miles with us, will help to consolidate what you will have learned so far and give you more experience and confidence.
These mile builders offer a unique opportunity for those working towards their Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore exams. You’ll have the chance to complete 60nm passages (with skipper support if needed) and gain essential night sailing hours - important milestones towards your qualification.

- Trips on 38ft to 42ft yachts, with some voyages on the Challenger 72.
